| The Cyclone receives a major update, as well as a brother, the Cyclone TC, which like the original Cyclone, includes 3 pre-programmed profiles. The Cyclone TC is the first ESC specifically designed for Touring Cars, and includes the 1998 World Cup Profile used by Joel Johnson. Novak designs and introduces Constant Force Braking in both Cyclone models to allow for more effective braking power at all speeds. The anticipated Millennium Battery Management System is introduced, which is Novak's first microprocessor-based charger, and is also compatible with the popular 3000 mAh Ni-MH (nickel-metal hydride) batteries. Another multiple profile speed control is introduced: the Dually, which features pre-programmed Stock and Modified profiles. Novak introduces the XXL receiver (in both AM and FM models), one of the smallest and lightest 2-channel receivers on the market. Jukka Steenari gives Novak their 18th IFMAR World title by winning the 4WD Off-Road World Championships in his home country, Finland. Jukka's use of various Novak products, the Cyclone ESC, XXL FM receiver, Millennium charger, and Pit Wizard Programming Device, help clinch his title. The Polaris AM receiver retires. | ||||

| 2001 was another BIG year for Novak as 6 breakout products from each of Novak's main product lines, Speed Controls, Chargers, and Receivers, are released. The Cyclone C2 and Cyclone TC2 replaced previous Cyclone models. Updated throttle profiles, a combo ON/OFF switch, a plug-in input harness are some of the new conveniences featured in the new Cyclones. While the Cyclones were being updated, the Millennium DC charger was also receiving a few enhancements, which turned this popular charger into a "Pro." Boasting a new, highly accurate Ni-MH2 charge mode and built-in Pit Wizard software, the Millennium Pro charged onto the R/C scene, securing its place as the racer's favorite charger. Joining Novak's charger line, and fulfilling the request of R/C enthusiasts to design an AC/DC charger, is the Ionic. The much anticipated AC/DC charger boasts the same incredible Ni-MH2 charge mode that helped elevate the Millennium into a Pro, while having the convenience of a built-in power supply. Racers rejoiced as their wish came true. On the Receiver scene, Novak engineers unveiled yet another revolutionary product for R/C enthusiasts: the XXtra Synthesized FM Receiver. Changing frequencies no longer requires changing crystals--it's now just a simple twist of a switch on the receiver. | ||||

| 2002 was another productive year with products from each of Novak's major lines making their debut. First off, a DC-only version of the Ionic charger (the AC/DC version came out the previous year) was released, giving R/C enthusiasts an even more economical, yet reliable and Novak-quality charger. The Black Box Power Supply was also introduced this year and was the ideal counterpart to the Ionic DC charger due to its small size, light weight, reliability, and its low price. Next came Novak's successful venture into the "micro" craze. The Spy Micro-Reversible ESC and the Spy Ni-MH battery pack were introduced as a new product line we called "Spy Gear." Racing enthusiasts were treated to Novak's replacement for the popular Cyclone series: the GT7 Racing Programmable ESC. One of our most innovative products we introduced this year was the Switch Synthesized 75MHz FM Transmitter Module. The Switch brought convenience to the R/C community with its unique ability to synthesize all thirty 75 MHz channels without changing a transmitter crystal. Even better...when used with the XXtra Synthesized FM Receiver, Novak introduced a hassle-free, crystal-less R/C experience--much to the relief and gratitude of R/C car drivers around the world. | ||||

| 2003 was the year of the motor. Finally, after what seemed like ages from when we originally made the announcement that we were developing a brushless motor, the SS5800 Super Sport Brushless Motor System made it into hobby stores. 10 months later, the SS4300 Racing Stock Brushless Motor system arrived on the scene. Brushless Motors created quite a stir well before they were available to the general public. Now, nearly two years later, everyone seems to be singing the praises of this virtually maintenance-free, powerful, yet efficient system. Still on the designer's table...the High-Voltage Brushless Motor System due in 2004! Also released this year was a 27MHz version of the popular Switch FM Transmitter Module. | ||||

| 2004...what a year! This was a year of diversification for Novak. We expanded our line to include batteries and dischargers, and released four different speed controls that ranged from micro-small to a beefy, heavy-duty model. The first ESC of this year was the XRS. This reversible sport ESC was not only small in size, but small in price. The next ESC to be released was the GTX: a racing model that proved extremely popular and successful from the get-go! The GTX is currently Novak's smallest programmable racing ESC and came to the market with impressive credentials after already winning several national titles as well as an IFMAR title. On the opposite end of the ESC spectrum, was our next release: the Super Duty XR. This high-voltage reversible ESC also proved instantly popular with large-scale vehicle drivers clamoring for the rugged high-performance ESC. The last ESC release of the year was the opposite of the Super Duty XR; While the Micro GT was another high-power ESC, it was made for micro-size vehicles. This suped up version of the SPY ESC is forward-only and ready-to-race! Other releases in this year included items not yet found in the Novak line. The Orange Power GP3300VE Cells were Novak's venture into the battery business. The 6 matched cells boast premium performance due to Novak's exclusive Accu-Match Battery Matching System and Voltage Enhancement Method. To care for these premium-grade cells is the next release, the Smart Tray Equalizing Discharger. Thanks to its ICM Circuitry that accurately discharges and monitors each individual cell's voltage, the Smart Tray is a truly accurate discharger. While all of our 2004 releases were exciting, our most anticipated product of the year was the debut of our high-voltage brushless motor system: the HV-Maxx . | ||||

| The year is still new and already there are several new products on the horizon. Novak's newest speed control, the Super Sport Plus, is truly innovative. It is compatible with Brushed and Brushless motors (including Novak's own SS5800 and SS4300 brushless motors). Plus, it's programmable! In the charger department, the dependable Ionic has been updated with a 10-amp discharger and is now known as the Ionic-D. | ||||
