THE MERCURY...The Mercury Shielded FM Receiver is Novak's solution to the problem of distracting radio noise and interfering signals. Made for use in R/C surface models, this narrow band micro-receiver is one of the smallest receivers available (1.10" x 1.54") on the market.
The Mercury was developed over a period of two years, and is the R/C car industry's first Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protected receiver. Many receivers are affected by noise coming from the chassis, but by chrome plating the Mercury's case (inside and outside), the noise from the motor, battery, speed control and servo is blocked out more successfully than with traditional receivers.
The key to the Mercury's ability to substantially reduce radio noise and interfering signals is through the use of Novak's Chrome-Shield Protection. Chrome-Shielding is the result of a metalizing process that deposits a layer of highly conductive metal directly onto the surface of the plastic, which gives the Mercury superior noise attenuation, or in other words, crystal clear reception.
Keeping in tune with the environment, Novak made the Mercury well within the new FCC 1999 Radiation Limits.
