Touring with the Cyclone TC2The Cyclone TC2 is one of our newest generation Cyclone speed controls. Like its close relative the Cyclone C2, the Cyclone TC2 is small, lightweight, completely programmable, and now has an even lower on-resistance. One of the benchmark features of the Cyclone is that it includes three built-in profiles, which are different in the C2 and TC2 models. What distinguishes the Cyclone TC2 from the Cyclone C2 are its touring car-specific profiles: World Cup, High Traction, and Touring Stock. See the profile charts for both ESCs to compare the settings. All the great new features of the Cyclone C2 are also found in the Cyclone TC2, including a conveniently located, built-in, combination ON/OFF & One-Touch button; a plug-in input harness that is not only user-replaceable, but can accommodate different length harnesses; an installed power capacitor harness that requires no soldering; and an improved data link socket. Other Cyclone TC2 features include three updated, pre-programmed Touring Car profiles which can be easily selected via the One-Touch button yet require no additional equipment to use, Constant Force Braking, Solder Posts, and an ultra smooth throttle response. One of the Cyclone's greatest strengths lies in its three pre-programmed profiles. Once installed in your car, the Cyclone is ready to go in just a few moments. The One-Touch Set-Up button not only helps you setup your speed control to your transmitter quickly and easily, it also toggles you between the ESC's three pre-programmed profiles (A bonus fourth profile can be accessed via the optional Pit Wizard). Thanks to the many functions of the One-Touch button, no other equipment is needed for you to access the various profiles. It's like having three speed controls in one! And when you're done running your car for the day, that same One-Touch button turns the ESC off. The following chart describes the Cyclone TC2's pre-programmed profiles:
One of the other strengths of the Cyclone TC2 is its full programmability. While other speed controls are touted as being programmable, in reality, only a few of their operating parameters can be altered. Cyclone TC2 users can modify any or all of its operating parameters through Novak's own optional programming device, the Pit Wizard (or ESC Profile Software). Original (and new) Pit Wizard users may continue to enjoy all the benefits of this powerful hand-held programming device through the use of a Pit Wizard Adaptor. With Pit Wizard in hand, complete programmability of the TC2 is easily attainable in just a few moments. Once a profile is customized to the user's preferences, it can be conveniently saved by storing it in the ESC's previously hidden fourth profile, ready for easy activation when needed. The following parameters can be customized with the optional Pit Wizard programming device:
*Adjustable from 122 Hz to 23,400 Hz. The ability to modify any or all operating parameters to meet personal preferences gives Cyclone users quite an advantage. Once a new profile is created to your specifications, it can then be stored in the ESC's hidden fourth profile, and then recalled at any time. Additionally, Pit Wizard users can store up to 10 profiles in the Pit Wizard's memory! With control like this, it's no wonder that the Cyclone is Novak's most popular ESC as well as the world's most winning ESC. The Cyclone TC2 can also be purchased in a combo pack with the Pit Wizard (#1039) at a reduced list price. Novak Note: To ensure the highest efficiency and best protection for your Cyclone TC2, the external power capacitor that is included with the Cyclone TC2 MUST be used.
Input Voltage: 4-7 cells (1.2 volts DC/cell)
