Cyclone C2: The Next Generation

The Cyclone C2 is one of our newest generation Cyclone speed controls (Touring car enthusiasts will want to look at our new Cyclone TC2). Directly descended from the same World-Champion Cyclone that has won R/C Car Action's Readers' Choice Award for NUMBER 1 SPEED CONTROL an unprecedented five years in a row, you can feel confident this new generation Cyclone will meet the high expectations of R/C car enthusiasts everywhere. Like its predecessor, the Cyclone C2 is small, lightweight, completely programmable, and now has an even lower on-resistance.

New features include a conveniently located, built-in, combination ON/OFF & One-Touch button; a plug-in input harness that is not only user-replaceable, but can accommodate different length harnesses; an installed power capacitor harness that requires no soldering, and an improved data link socket. Other Cyclone C2 features include three updated, pre-programmed throttle profiles which can be easily selected via the One-Touch button yet require no additional equipment to use, Constant Force Braking, Solder Posts, and an ultra smooth throttle response.

One of the Cyclone's greatest strengths lies in its three pre-programmed profiles. Once installed in your car, the Cyclone is ready to go in just a few moments. The One-Touch Set-Up button not only helps you setup your speed control to your transmitter quickly and easily, it also toggles you between the ESC's three pre-programmed profiles (A bonus fourth profile can be accessed via the optional Pit Wizard). Thanks to the many functions of the One-Touch button, no other equipment is needed for you to access the various profiles. It's like having three speed controls in one! And when you're done running your car for the day, that same One-Touch button turns the ESC off.

The following chart describes the Cyclone C2's pre-programmed profiles:

One of the other strengths of the Cyclone C2 is its full programmability. While other speed controls are touted as being programmable, in reality, only a few of their operating parameters can be altered. Cyclone C2 users can modify any or all of its operating parameters through Novak's own optional programming device, the Pit Wizard (or ESC Profile Software).

Original (and new) Pit Wizard users may continue to enjoy all the benefits of this powerful hand-held programming device through the use of a Pit Wizard Adaptor. With Pit Wizard in hand, complete programmability of the C2 is easily attainable in just a few moments. Once a profile is customized to the user's preferences, it can be conveniently saved by storing it in the ESC's previously hidden fourth profile, ready for easy activation when needed.

The following parameters can be customized with the optional Pit Wizard programming device:

*Adjustable from 122 Hz to 23,400 Hz.

The ability to modify any or all operating parameters to meet personal preferences gives Cyclone users quite an advantage. Once a new profile is created to your specifications, it can then be stored in the ESC's hidden fourth profile, and then recalled at any time. Additionally, Pit Wizard users can store up to 10 profiles in the Pit Wizard's memory! With control like this, it's no wonder that the Cyclone is Novak's most popular ESC as well as the world's most winning ESC.

The Cyclone C2 can also be purchased in a combo pack with the Pit Wizard (#1038) at a reduced list price.

Novak Note: To ensure the highest efficiency and best protection for your Cyclone C2, the external power capacitor that is included with the Cyclone C2 MUST be used.

CYCLONE C2 FEATURES & DEFINITIONS
Combination One-Touch/ON-OFF switch Our original One-Touch Set-Up button has even more versatility. It powers your ESC on and off, allows you to effortlessly setup your ESC, and enables you to toggle through and choose which of the three pre-programmed throttle profiles to use.

Constant Force Braking Typically, when an R/C car slows down, the brakes aren't as effective as when the car is traveling at a higher speed. Our Constant Force Braking feature gives you effective braking power at all vehicle speeds. Definitely a plus for staying in control.

Ultra Smooth Throttle Response Throttle response doesn't get any smoother than this!

Low On-resistance The lower the On-Resistance, the better and faster your ESC is. At 0.00049, the Cyclone C2 boasts one of the lowest On-Resistance around--this is one fast ESC!

Polar Drive Circuitry Our Polar Drive Technology gives you increased power and reduced operating temperatures. This means even smoother throttle response, increased radio system range, quicker acceleration, and longer run times.

Low-Resistance Solder Posts Three solder posts conveniently allow you to quickly and easily replace or reposition wire and solder them in place.

Radio Priority Circuitry Batteries dumped? No worries--you still have control of your car thanks to this great circuitry.

Digital Anti-Glitch Circuitry An exclusive feature from Novak that rejects signals read by the speed control from the receiver that are caused by radio interference.
