Super Sport Plus ESC Joins SS5800 Motor to form a Super System

Novak’s Super Sport Plus Programmable ESC is now available with the SS5800 Brushless Motor as a brushless system. The programmable Brushless/Brush ESC comes conveniently factory-wired to the SS5800 Brushless Motor so it is ready-to-install straight out of the box.

THE SUPER SPORT PLUS PROGRAMMABLE BRUSHLESS/BRUSH ESC

The Super Sport Plus ESC combines the advantage of working with brushless motors, including Novak’s SS5800 8 1/2-turn motor (included in the Super Sport Plus Brushless System #3004), SS4300 10 1/2-turn brushless motors, as well as brushed motors down to 12-turns. The ESC’s convenient on-board programming allows users to easily adjust 5 brushless profiles and one brushed profile.

There are four adjustable parameters within each of its five customizable profiles: Minimum Brake, Drag Brake, Deadband, and Minimum Drive. Each of these profiles can be customized and saved for future use, or can easily be returned to the default factory settings. Customizing and saving the parameters is easily accomplished via the speed control’s convenient on-board programming: the One-Touch button and four different colored LEDS.

The Super Sport Plus ESC has all the features expected from a Novak-designed ESC, including Locked Rotor Detection Circuitry, which prevents brushless motor, battery, and ESC damage; Variable Throttle Step Technology, which gives the ESC its incredibly smooth performance; and Smart Braking II Circuitry, which gives drivers a full range of braking power without going into reverse until shifted. This allows smoother take-offs in reverse, and less wear on the drive train. Other included features are: One-Touch Set-Up, a factory-installed heat sink, Radio Priority Circuitry, Thermal Protection, and Polar Drive Technology.

THE SS5800 8 1/2-TURN BRUSHLESS MOTOR
The SS5800 8 1/2-turn brushless motor is specifically designed for R/C vehicles, is sensor-based for excellent braking and low-speed driveability, has low cogging, and provides longer run-times than brushed motors. Additional features include direct-solder wiring tabs, locked rotor protection, Thermal Overload Protection, and a virtually maintenance-free design.
The Super Sport Plus System provides a great value to the customer, as everything is ready-to-go thanks to the speed control being factory-wired to the motor. There is also the bonus of additional savings over purchasing the motor and speed control individually.
