The 2006 Snowbird Nationals marked yet another year of great racing with Mike Boylan and the Thunder R/C crew. Boylan and the guys put on a great week of nonstop-racing action that included both Oval and On Road carpet racing.   

On the Oval front, Novak is very pleased to congratulate Monti Panzica for his astounding performance in the six cell Pro Mod Division. Monti, along with Erik Steenhoven and Andy McClellan, round out the rest of the Novak Team drivers in the “show.” Monti was able to take home the top spot and grab a huge win.

Rick Talbot put on yet another great performance with his KSG Oval ride, taking home the top spot on the 19-turn Expert Oval class alongside Novak Team drivers Johnny Broyles and Adam Liehr.

Additionally, Talbot and Panzica made A-Main appearances in the super tight four cell Mod Oval class.

The 2006 Snowbirds On Road program could have been called “The Lemieux Show.” Lemieux TQ’d and won the Pro Mod TC Class, also winning Expert 19-turn TC. A huge congratulations to Paul Lemieux!

Novak equipped Jeff Dayger took home the win in Stock 12-Scale. Novak-equipped drivers Timmy Heiser and Mark Smyka were also 12-Scale Stock A-Main finalists.

Peter Robinson, Eric Anderson and Ron Atomic qualified in the Stock TC A-Main using GTX ESCs.

Sportsman 19-turn saw Novak racer Brandon Melton bring home the TQ and overall win. Congratulations to Brandon as well as Mark Smyka and Eric Anderson, and all GTX users.

In Expert 19-turn, six of the 10 drivers were using the Novak GTX: Jarod Scott (10th), Victor Wilck (9th), Joel Myrberg (5th), Mike Dumas (3rd), Mike Blackstock (2nd and TQ) and Paul Lemieux took home the overall win.

Pro Mod TC saw more of the same with five of 10 drivers choosing the GTX, including Victor Wilck (10th), Billy Easton (8th), Mike Blackstock (3rd), Mike Dumas (2nd) and the one and only Paul Lemieux taking home another great win, and in the process making a Novak/XRAY top three sweep.
